Infant - Pre-K

Early Learning Academy

Education starts from day one. Helping children to achieve important growth and development milestones is a focus starting with infants that carries through and evolves into Pre-K as we prepare children for Kindergarten.

Early Learning Academy utilizes Creative Curriculum™, a play-based approach featuring well planned centers that prepare children for physical, emotional, social and academic success. Daily routines feature story-time, music, creative expression through art, dramatic play and large and fine motor skill development. As children grow, centers focus on language, mathematical reasoning and scientific thought. Children expand on their knowledge, build vocabulary, express creativity and build social skills.

Infant and Toddler Care

4 weeks – 2 years

Babies, toddlers and twos need a safe nurturing place from which to explore the world. Because every child is different, we work with families to build upon each child's temperament, interests, culture, capabilities and learning styles.

Parent involvement is enhanced with daily reports, monthly calendars and newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, family programs and parent time in the classroom.

Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten

3 years – 5 years

There is no more important time in your child's life than his or her first five years! That's why our preschool programs use the Creative Curriculum for Preschool ® and Lead Preschool Teachers hold a four-year degree in Early Childhood Education. At the core of the Creative Curriculum are well planned centers that prepare children for academic success.

The development of language, mathematical reasoning and scientific thought is emphasized throughout each center. During the day, children expand knowledge, build vocabulary, express creativity and develop social skills—all tied directly to South Dakota Department of Education Early Learning Guidelines!

Boys & Girls Club staff are all wonderful and caring, from the front desk to the maintenance staff. They work to provide the best care, education and safety to our children.
